Just to put it out there...

So I've been recieving a lot of messages, private and public, about my image "Mother" That I uploaded onto here at least a year ago, I think. Lots of flames. Mostly with remarks like:

"BLEAGH LUCRETIA????!!" "She's a hoe, and she's not actually Sephiroth's mother!" "I hate her, how can you draw something like this!?"

Let's just get one thing straight... Critiquing a work for the quality is fine. If you want to flame me because the color sucks and the proportions are inacurate, please be my guest! But if you're going to just basically bitch at me for the subject matter of the work, I don't want to hear it. Especially after I've repeated myself at least a dozen times to these people saying that I have since changed my views and that typing in all caps at me isn't going to make me remove the piece from my gallery.

It's just art, people! Everyone has their own interpretations of things. Leave it at that. I don't want to hear your theories on who's Sephiroth's mother. I don't want to hear your theories on who loves who. If you want to debate about the plotholes in FFVII you can do it on a forum, because I'm not here for that. If you have a problem with my piece because you feel it would never happen, create a scenario of your own.

Seriously. I'm trying to be more professional, and as of now, I'm through arguing on the internet with people, because I think it's a stupid thing to do. So if you send me flames of that nature, you will not get a response and they will be deleted on the spot. Just a warning for the future.

On a lighter note, I will be submitting much more original stuff in the future. Fan art is not going to get me into grad school. So I'll be working on some things on my own. Also, look for some screenshots of the 3D animation I'm doing for my senior project. I won't be putting them up until after the opening of the exhibition for personal reasons. So after April 19th, I will probably be putting up some shots.

I haven't updated this since JULY? Lord! I've been incredibly busy with schoolwork lately. I've finally got some free time since it's nearing the end of the semester and we're all working on our final projects during class.

I did a couple of original drawings but never got the chance to scan them or do anything to them. I'm going to try to put some up if I can.

Since I have some time, I'll give you guys prices for any commissions you might want. I realized asking for commissions without giving a price is a little frightening to some people. I got a new sewing machine too, so I'm pretty psyched and anxious to start doing plushies again. All these prices include shipping as well, so don't worry about tacking extra on them.

8.5x11 Sketch- $5
Pencil drawing (any size, although larger than 9x12 will be a different price)- $10
CG - Emailed, or just put up here: $5 Printed on nice paper and shipped: $15
Plushies: (these depend on how many materials I'd have to buy but I'll ballpark it.) ~$35

I've just had a serious lack of inspiration lately. I can't think of things on my own anymore. I need a reason to make art. I always have. I just can't do things on impulse. I don't think I'll ever make it in this business.

As always, comissions and requests are open. I realize I'm not good enough as an artist to say that, but I really need a reason to draw. Whenever I pick up a pencil, I just stare at the page for an hour. For commisions, just name your price and what you want. I'm not going to be a bitch about them. Whatever you can afford is fine. And I will try my absolute hardest to make it not suck.

I've been trying to come up with a web comic, because I had an idea that I wanted to run with. But I just suck at comic strips. Every panel looks the same to me, and I can't figure out how to make it more dynamic. So I keep starting over, and then I just don't want to do it anymore. *sigh* I wish I didn't get so bored with things so easily.

Broke, tired, and I feel like I'm running around busting my butt all summer to try to pay the rent, while everyone else is out having fun. When I get some time, maybe I'll put up some sketches of my comic. Maybe one of you can help me with this block I seem to be having.

Happy B-day Sephiroth!

Meh, I gave him a random birthday. And it's today. I thought he should have one since all the other characters have one. So, Happy Birthday Sephiroth! *throws streamers*

Connecticon 2006

Thu Jul 13, 2006, 11:46 AM
Just uploaded the pictures from Connecticon into my scraps if anyone is interested in looking at them. It was Awesome, by the way! I enjoyed myself thoroughly. Soooo much Final Fantasy stuff. I bought SO much stuff. And my wallet was screaming, but I was happy as a pig in mud. >D

I even got a picture with someone dressed up as Sephiroth. He was so cute. All short and freckly. And his costume was awesome. He must've bought it. Even the shoulderguards felt real. They felt like metal. It was cool.

Everyone went all out. I felt kinda left out because and I weren't dressed up. We'll have to dress up next year. We were thinking we'd go as Vivi and Freya. I would be Vivi. It shouldn't be too hard to make the costume, I hope. I just need to make the pants really poofy. lol. If anyone wants to get in on our little FFIX thing, let me know. Laters.
